History of Women's R & R

The 2009 Women’s Refreshment and Renewal Conference was the 12^th annual conference sponsored by the Concord Union Baptist Association. Over the years the conferences have featured outstanding speakers and talented musicians. Each conference has been designed to create an atmosphere that blends the serious and the lighthearted so that all of the women will have uplifting and encouraging spiritual experiences. Missions speakers at the conferences have focused the women’s attention on missions and on opportunities to minister.

Over the years registration at these conferences has steadily increased to a high of 1,041. Since 2006, to accommodate the increasing attendance, the conferences have been held at Temple Baptist Church on I-20 in Ruston, Louisiana. Three churches rotate as host church: Cook Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and Temple Baptist Church.

Local hotels provide excellent accommodations for conference participants and speakers.
